公財）SOMPO美術財団は、新進作家支援のため2012年度に平面作品の公募コンテスト「FACE」を創設し、入選作品を紹介する「FACE展」を毎年SOMPO美術館で開催しています。本アーカイブスは「FACE」の歩みと全入選作品を周知する目的でSOMPO美術財団が制作運営しています。第一回目のFACE2013から前回まで各開催年の入選作品・受賞作品その審査講評、作家情報、展覧会情報と当時の募集要項などをご覧いただけます。

The Sompo Fine Art Foundation established the public entry competition FACE in FY2012 to support up-and-coming artists, and holds the FACE Exhibition, which introduces winning artworks, every year at the Sompo Art Museum. These archives were made and are operated by the Foundation in order to raise awareness of FACE's progress and all the selected works. The archives contain all selected and award-winning works from the first FACE in 2013 until the most recent one, as well as such details as the judge's evaluations, information on the artists and the exhibition, and the application details at the time.
